Rockwall, Texas - Drainage Improvements
Jalco provided storm water engineering services for a Homeowners Association (HOA) located in Rockwall, Texas. The HOA wanted a simple solution to divert storm water run off. Jalco conducted a storm water run off analysis, which determined the amount of storm water to be diverted. The proposed solution included a decorative wooden fence with an impermeable material to divert the storm water through the trench drain system. The trench drain system includes river rock and edging.
Waxahachie, Texas - Risk and Resiliency Assessment for Water Systems
Jalco developed the risk and resiliency assessment for a water utility so that they could meet their June 30, 2021 compliance date and also developed their Emergency Response Plan (ERP). This assessment was completed on time and met all required EPA deadlines.
Pecos, New Mexico - New Water Treatment System
Jalco provided the preliminary and final design services for a 20 gallon per minute groundwater treatment system. The water was influenced by surface water, which required multiple treatment barriers. The process included: Two Cartridge Filters, Sodium Hypochlorite Disinfection System, ultraviolet disinfection system and a new intermediate storage tank. I worked closely with the New Mexico Environmental Quality. I helped provide assistance during construction and start-up. The project was completed August 2023.
